Off Grounds Visit with Rick 6-17-2010

We were lucky as to Rick could not participate in the off grounds activities on Thursday, so we got him from 11-6:30pm.

All was going well til they both broke their poles!  So on to find new activities.

Can we keep it?  No!!

Then Mom fell in love.  But alas we do not need anymore wildlife.

Leon gave everyone a free ice cream cone at his malt shop.  Everyone loved it yum!!

Dan trying to convince Anna she likes Marshmallows.  Glad she didn't agree.  She's already figured out how to get in pantry for bread and granola bars!

Mom & Dad just enjoying the night.  Mom still amazed she's having a neighborhood get together, some days you just have to roll with it.

Poor Anna, Ray Man was trying to make her look like me.  Is that a compliment for either of us?  I'm just not sure.

Ray Man's 1st visit with Rick since May 5th.  They enjoyed playing with the plane.

Court

Well he had to admit what he did in detail in open court today.  Due to that they have dropped the theft and assault charges.  However due to the smoking where he's living and the stealing of 2 knives, he can not have visits off the grounds anymore.  We don't know when or if he will ever return home before the age of 18.  That's in his court, if he is successful in treatment he can.  They may still adjudicate him if he continues to err.  They will allow his brothers to visit now with us there. Lil Dan says who cares nothing has changed for him.  Upon his return to where he was staying I asked him if he was scared,"No Mom, I was just really bored.  That took way to long."  Once again all I can say is my son is who he is I love him.  Anyone who would like to write him, you can send it to us and we will forward. Like I said I see him quite a bit. He needs love and support now more than ever.  I know it's not safe for him to return for the victim & his 2 brothers.  It is definitely not safe for him, if someone could do $1400.00 damage to my grand am after he was in the paper imagine what they might do to him.  I fear it is someone who doesn't know us and lil Dan could be endanger since he too looks 15.  So I guess all I can say is life has been crazy.  And we feel very alone at this point.  It breaks my heart to see how this has affected everyone.

What's one more charge?

Caught smoking now their contemplating a 4th charge for under age smoking on school property.  As my son put it.  No big deal, it'll be $50.00.  According to the place he is at it is closer to between $200 ~$300.  They let me in on some stuff he's been pulling.  All I could say is welcome to my world.  And I'm going to quit feeling bad about not being able to get things under control.  Yep he's taxing the 20 people looking after him, and they are having a hard time keeping up.  He is who he is and til he decides to make a change, life will continue to be interesting for those in his life.  Thanks to those who joined us in prayer and fast yesterday.  I can feel it helping me and lil Dan was surprised by the amount of people who stood behind us.  It was awesome.
