This goes with last posting Hansen's Dairy Farm

These pictures are from 6-18-2007.  But our adventure today reminded us of this day.  We like to connect dots.  Actually there were so many great picts.  We just had to share.
Now most people think it is kangaroos on their label.  But they are actuallly Wallabees.  And they are so adorable. The kids wanted one I sadly had to say no.

Rick saw Eddie Ray's picture and wanted to know why he didn't get to pet a Wallabee.  I'm like pretty sure this is you petting a Wallabee.  He just busted out laughing.  Oops I forgot.

Lil Dan making formula.Wow mom this is a BIG bottle!!

The whole crew.  I so appreciate my husband and parents always being willing to help with crowd control.

Feeding the calves!

Look Mom it's eating! as he breaks into giggles.

I love this picture!!  Little Dan gets such a kick out of the calf sucking on his hand.  He wanted o keep feeding it.  Then he wanted to take it home!!  Um..once again~no!

Learning how to milk a cow properly.  Once again Dan & Rick fell into giggles.

The we have Eddie Ray who picked the cow he wanted to milk.  He was pretty freaked out that Rick and dan had touched the teats, eww gross.

This cow was more his speed!!  And he didn't want to stop milking it.  This was his third time to Hansen's farm, so he and Trinity felt they should be in charge.  But every visit was so different.  Good times.

Eddie Ray makes our dinner.  Doesn't it look fantastic?   It was so yummy!!

On to our Adventures with Grandpa & Grandma.  It was an early start to the day.  The boys are sitting in front of the school I went to elementary in.  Okay not this building they rebuilt.  But you get what I mean.
Waiting for the shuttle bus.

Pancakes by Chris ~ Syrup by Hartmen Reserve ~Milk by Hansen's Dairy.  All of which we love.
We've visited Hansen's before.  Really I should post some picts, they are adorable.
The boys learn how to tap a tree.

Gathering Sap from the trees

Time out to play on the hills

Here comes Rick with the bucket of sap..

The sap looks like Water but that's because it's 97% water.  Wild eh?

This is where they boil off the water.  It's amazing how much sap it takes to make 1 cup of syrup.  I learn this every year.  And yet I still marvel in it.

This is how the indians use to collect the sap.  Then they hollowed out a bertch tree trunk and put the sap in there andplaced on the fire.  I found it interesting.

K bad pict but I thought it was funny both Dad & I are winking.

Mom & I always get our maple syrup, one it is yummy!!  2 you refill it with colored water and it's  a beautiful for all the seasons.
Time to say Goodbye and let the folks rest. I know all th walkng took it's toll.  Oh well they held up well.
We all had a fabulous time.  And our tummies were full.

Now it's time to go SNOWBOARDING YEAH!!!!

This pict Rocks!! Go Dan!!

Airborne again!

Check out the air!! Awesome Rick!!!

What a pro!  My Eddie Ray!!

Incrediable Rick ~ too cool!!!!

Alec losing it at the last minute.

My naughty boy starting a snowball fight with his Momma!

This was gonna be an awesome jump til Eddie Ray through a snowball at him.  It ended horriably.  Rick has a very sore leg from the unplanned landing.  What on earth do you do with little brothers?

Eddie Ray gathering ammunition.

At first glance you think Dan is carrying this in reality it just came off is feet, and taking on a life of it's own.
It was a fantastic day.  We live for the weekends.  It's family time.  Life just gets so busy with everyone going here and there.  This was a weekend we all needed.  Just wish Big Dan  could have joined us.  Oh well maybe next year.  Now we are all ready for spring activities.  We even played a game of basketball amounst the snow and ice.  Yep we've got the spring fever going on.
