It was a short day but since 4 out of 5 were sick made for a very long day.  The kids got to meet Erin Moran (joannie from Happy Days)  Carmine from Laverne and Shirley.  Then Jean Davidson the granddaughter of Harley Davidson's founder.  Rick asked if Erin & I went to school together.  Sometimes all you can do is look at your child smile, and say no.  We all got cool shirts from the Car Show.  We'll have to get a pict.

Okay so we were alittle late.  Had to wait for a check So February 19th we took her to her favorite restaurant~ The Texas Roadhouse.  Okay it wasn't torture for me at all I love the Roadhouse.  It was a fantastic meal.  The boys picked out her flowers.  Eddie Ray had to give them to her, because that is his grandma, okay.  Crazy thing while were waiting for Grandma Lil Dan & Eddie ray start pulling petals and eating them. What? Why?  Then Rick proceeded to lick them all.  I can not begin to fathom what was going throught their heads.  I'm still stuck at Really?  Oh well everyone had a blast we were just sad Big Dan had to work.

Eddie Ray's Friend Oliver Palmer's All-Star Benefit 4-20-2010

Tonite we were so happy to be able to join Oliver and his family for his benefit.  On December 23rd,2009 Oliver was diagnosed with Pontine Glioma, an inoperable brain tumor.  This condition is aggressive and Oliver's prognosis is bleak.  To see his whole story or if you are able to help, please do.  Thier blog is www.olliesallstars.blogspot.com/.  How precious to see a smile.  Eddie Ray helped gather pennies for the penny drive.  He so wants his little friend to get better.  Please add Oliver to your prayers as well.  He is one of the greatest kids I know.  Really everyone involved in this benefit really did an awesome job.  And the outpouring of love from the community is awe inspiring.

In Memory of Aunt Leola aka Aunt Oleo 2/21/1920-2/13/2010

In memory of a fantastic lady.  I wish I could figure out where I've hidden all her picts.  She was a huge part of our family's life.  And she will be missed.  2nd tribute on Terry Children's page.  Since I didn't realize which  blog I was on.  Oh well she was very special, she was just like a grandparent to me.  The boys were so glad they could say their goodbyes on Tuesday.

We spent the day at the Train museum for Eddie Ray and Dad's Birthdays.  The ride was fantastic.  We all loved the rainbow created by the steam.  The boys were able to sit where the engineer sits and blow the whistle.  Dad was so excited looking out the window he lost all his meds out of his pocket over the trestle.  We followed the train up rides on a 100 year old carousel in Story City.  Then Grandpa and Grandma treated us to Dairy queen.  It was a fantastic Day all around!!  Can't wait to go on our next adventure.  I'm hoping to sneak one in this year.  We'll  be spotlighting various good times that were never blogged.  cause we didn't have a blog.

Bug Awards Redone

BUG Award

It stands for Brought Up Grades AwardEddie Ray earned one. He started the year off behind due to his learning disorder. And through nightly studying and hard work he is now at a 3rd grade level! Yeah one grade above what he is. Unfortunately he was sick So I'll post a pict when I get one.Lil Dan should get it as well. He figured out how to be cool and get good grades. Yeah!! He came in with a 2.65. Way to go buddies.They have chosen Sausage Egg Biscuits by mom for their reward. And I think I'll add cocoon cherry turnovers.Maybe make a snake sub for lunch. Yum Yum and cute.   Sorry I tried to write in green letters not dark green highlight.Okay I couldn't get my picture to load.  So I picked one of my all time favorites.  Can not say I pleased on this day as I needed to get to class in 15 minutes.  But it's one of those you look back on and say that was hilarious!  Hope you enjoy it as much as I.
