The Fall

I'm going to spare you all pictures. But apparently I am still quite talented. While picking up kids at Edison I hit a patch of ice I almost caught my self. Except as I was catching myself I did it on pile of sand. The Good news is my head, Left thigh, & left shin Do Not Hurt. Unfortunately everything else does! The boys are so excited, Eddie Ray keeps saying let me see then when he sees it. He turns away, he just can't look. Dan made me a cool picture to replace the one he made in 2004. They are such wonderful boys.

Scripture Study

In addition to reading the scriptures this time we are trying to bring them to life. We bought Heros Lessons from the Book of Mormon by John Bytheway. It's an excellent tool. It can be purchased from Desert Book Club. We also bought American Mormon, I wasn't that impressed, and the RM.

Blogging

I can't wait to figure out my issues with posting. But honestly the best part about blogging is I get to reflect on current activities we are doing. Then I can truly sit back and be amazed by what all life has to offer. My boys loved attending Grandpa's solo. Lil Dan sang the chorus to Old Man River the whole way home. All he asked for at Christmas is he wished Grandpa would sing "I'll Be Home For Christmas". He wishes it we're on his MP3 player. They also enjoyed seeing their cousins again. At scripture study tonite for Jacob Chapter 3 & 4, We made tin foil plates. Eddie Ray was frustrated because the pen didn't work on foil so well. Tonight was really his first experience with engraving. But we all took the time to write in our Journals our testimonies. And we Thank Aunt Marianne for the cool journals we had to write in. As soon as the boys get a new journal they journal in it, even if they have tons of pages left in the last. It is just wonderful to watch the growth in all 3 of our young men. I learn so much from them daily. Rick and Dan both challenged themselves to make the next rank in scouting by the end of summer.

On Friday I took the boys out to Zio Johno's. What a blast Eddie Ray had a 40 oz lemonade and sprite mix. He dumped it, guess who wore it? Yep, Mom. Needless to say the rest of the evening was shot at that point. I looked as though I had a rather large bladder and it had let lose. Priceless moments eh? We came home and watched the Work and the Glory. It was awesome the boys were intrigued. Not a word they just soaked it in. For anyone who has not seen it, We as a family highly recommend it. So this morning the boys are playing all nice, busy being boys Dan & I deceide to go to our room and talk. We lock the door, probably 10 minutes later Dan's keys fall out the lock and I can see my key coming through the lock. Eddie Ray had deceided anything we had to talk about there was enough time to have done, so he was just going to see what we were up to. He is such a riot. He is way to smart for his own good. He did start off this morning by coming in to say hello then ran down stairs and made Dan & I a fake breakfast in bed. Then Ricky made us Scrambled Eggs and toast to actually fill us up. Life is good! Like I said my boys give me great material for my warped sense of humor.

Center for the Arts

Lil Dan had his art displayed at the Center for the Arts. They had a culture fair, Thursday March 6,2008. He made a section of the cool totem poles. What a great night. I ighly reccomend the Youth Pavillon to everyone, it's $5.00 per child. It's hours of fun and unlimited exploring. I can't wait for the official opening April 6. We only saw 1 floor. We were there for 1 1/2 hrs and still didn't make it through everything. But what a blast to watch as my boys had endless fun. We topped the night off at Happy Chef with Hot Chocolates. Eddie Ray wanted to know if it was a "date". I said so to speak. Then we got home, I was at the front of the house and the boys in the kitchen, the dog outside. Blackie went wild, the boys let him in and just as they shut the door. Some guy came out of the garage and ran for our back door. You can tell he pressed his face up against the window. So then I had a barking dog and screaming boys. Needless to say it was a long night. Eddie Ray is home with me today. He had nightmares all night and is quite clingy. Hopefully this is one post that I didn't mispell anything.

Eddie Ray- Monster, Little Ricky, Eddie Ray Ray
We are in 2nd Nephi Chapter 30. I can't believe how much more we are all getting out of this reading of the Book of Mormon. Sorry we couldn't take the challenge in honor of President Hinckley. It has been wonderful just reading one chapter at a time and truley pondering it. The boys immediately picked up on false doctrine from other churches. Like the Popcorn church we were invited to, come to a movie Theatre sing god's praises, and eat popcorn, come dressed however. The boys felt that could be one that they were talking about. Eddie Ray has finally memorized the 1st article of faith. "We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in his son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost"
As I lay around sick the last 2 days how it warms the heart to hear your youngest return home from school and say to his Dad " I'm gonna go snuggle with my Mom, she needs me" He was right I did. We read 6 books together. Then he had to go.
I thank Heavenly Father every day for these 3 precious souls he entusted us with. Can they frazzle me oh Yes! But most of all they complete our family, oh the miracles we see in them everday, not to mention they give me a great material for my warped sense of humor. I should have taken pictures but I just felt so icky on Sunday. I was wearing shorts, Eddie Ray complained he wanted shorts on to. I said I didn't care. Next thing I know he is in my room with his (NEW) camoflauge pants on cut horriably. I asked him how that happened? He said he didn't know. Til I reminded him I put those pants away, I asked for his scissors and the pant legs. He brought them right to me. I told him maybe we'd let him wear to school on Monday. Talk about a shocked look on a little boy.
