Here is a fun little game... leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time or a long time, anything that you remember!
Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It is pretty funny to read the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you are playing and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. On your mark... get set... blog those memories!

How to choose? I have so many great memories of you, Susanne! I think one of my favorites has been watching you love and protect and teach and fight for your sons. I love your sense of humor and your candor in your mothering of them. I remember the first time you called me when one of your sons (the guilty shall remain anonymous) had acted out at school, but the staff's reaction didn't make sense either. You never let them (boys or staff) get away with a thing, instead you call them out with STYLE. I really admire that in you!
ReplyDeleteI too have so many memories of you in the little time I have known you. I remember how even the most horrible of situations ( like baby powder in a new furnace) can somehow make you laugh in the end. You are wonderful for those boys and I seek for the patience that you have!
ReplyDeleteI love how much you love your children. Every decision you make in your life is for the benefit of your family. You always put them first. I love hearing about your FHE lessons and your diligence in teaching your kids the gospel. You are always kind to me. I feel like I could always be myself around you and never feel uncomfortable. Those are my favorite thoughts about you. :) I don't have a blog so you can't get me back. HA!
ReplyDeletei remember many a night when you would babysit us that you would turn off all the lights and play the stereo in the livingroom. i can still remember how the lights on the stereo looked.
ReplyDeletefor some reason i also remember that you babysat one time and you got to order domino's pizza and we were all watching from the front porch hoping the pizza would take more than 30 min so it could be free.
i remember your graduation party, too because ivan and i had a great time playing walkie talkies. we thought we were SOOOO funny. and i had new clothes and that was always memorable for me since i mostly got hand me downs.
I remember the Graduation also, Missy was being nasty and said I had thrown rocks in her yard with my car. So to Mom's dismay I reparked my car and this time I made sure the gravel flew. Unfortunatly Olers and Mom and Dad got the bulk of it. But you all cheered me on anyway. I think I had a temper back then.
ReplyDeleteThis is dangerous, cause I am gonna tell on both of us... Ok, I remember playing Dance Fever in the living room.
ReplyDeleteI remember dancing in our slips and swooning over the latest heart throb. I remember hiding over the heat registers with blankets so we could get warm and then wondering why the rest of the room was so cold.
I remember playing hide and go seek at night, catching fireflies and you telling me stupid stories.
I remember you telling me that that the Dead End sign on our street was there because somebody had been killed on it and that was why they had to post the sign. Scared me to death and then you told me Dead Man's Curve was the song about it. That's why I had to stay away from the street. YOU USED TO MAKE ME CRAZY, tormenting me.
Playing air guitar to Juke Box Hero and listening to Billy Squire.
The bouncy bag LeVon brought home that we played on.
Making up concerts and plays on G&G's Porch and singing our hearts out.
Do you remember baptizing each other in the Ohlers pool? So many crazy memories.
