Camping

Rick and Dan are going to Boundry Waters June 8th - 14th. They are so excited. Like I said they each earned $100.00 each working Consessions at the Car Show. Then the neighbor hired them to move a huge pile of shingles. They made $30.00 each, Eddie Ray made $5.00. So they made all the money needed for their camping trip, except the return home dinner money. Not bad. The summer is going crazy right off the start. They get back on the 14th at 10:00 or so. Then Ricky has to be ready to go to upwardbound at 5:00pm the 15th. Ricky is struggling with studying so it's hard to say how weekends will go. We may get stuck due to his work has to be in. They are getting really picky this year on grades and efforts put forth. He also goes to Youth Conference July 8th- 11th. But that's dependent on his grades, if the program will release him. My computer works great it just can't hear the dialtone because my phone sucks so bad. If you try to call be sure to yell. Or I won't hear you.

Update

My computer is not working again. We went to the car show. Dan entered his model cars and won 1st place. Yeah ! The boys earned $100.00 each towards their Canada Trip. Eddie Ray was such a hard worker for his brothers.

Honor Roll

Ricky made Honor Roll for this nine weeks!! Yeah!! This is the picture he drew for my wall of Love in my bedroom. This is what he invisions us to have looked like when he was an infant. I think it is a wonderful drawing. He just started art classes. He is new to drawing people. I think it is an excellent start. Hopefully this will keep him engaged.

The Happy Ending

We started the week off with a tax return and happy thoughts of buying a camaro and trading off the van. Then we left the boys alone for less than an hour. And Ricky deciedes since someone let him drive at seven, he's a good driver. Even though no keys to the van were left in this house. He was gonna drive so he jammed my Monte Carlo keys in my Dodge Caravan. He didn't succeed in driving the van. But I now own a van where the ignition was so destroyed the ignition can't be removed. So where I was getting $500 for the van I now am hoping for $50 since you can't start the van. So, we praying for a new car with our meager down payment. Dan came home with a 2001 Mustang. Oh just in case your wondering... Ricky now has to have a babysitter at 14, has lots of chores, owes is parents alot of money, walks to school... Oh yeah and no permit or at least a year. Possibly can get it at 18, if things don't change.

So it's a very happy ending For Dan except now he has 2 more car payments then he would have had. So now you can call him my Mustang Man!

Thge Makeover

My Neice Alyssa did a fabulous makeover for me. Too bad I don't have the patience to Straighten my own hair. I've tried, she does a much better job. Isn't she beautiful.

Life is Good

I'm just excited to be alive today! Can't really explain why- spring fever maybe. But I've waited soooo long to feel this good again. Even Rick and I sat down to a heart to heart today. It went so well. I have this huge urge to just go out and do something fun for a day. I guess that will have to wait til Friday. But oh well. I must admit I hope this feeling stays.
